GeneFit Nutrition Tropical Import - Introduction

GeneFit Nutrition, LLC. was founded in 2001 by the two long-term rawfoodists Roman Devivo and Antje Spors. At the core of GeneFit Nutrition's tropical import department are several decades of personal and professional experience with a 100% rawfood diet excluding any kind of food preparation and processing.

As Antje and Roman first began to teach the Genefit Nutrition dietary concept in the US, they quickly came to realize that it was quite challenging to find the quality of food that would meet their standards.  In order to find the best possible quality with local products, education was key, however essential imported foods such as durian and young coconuts were simply not available other than in conventional quality with heavy treatments.

In 2004, as an alternative for themselves and others, Roman and Antje were inspired to import tropical foods from Thailand and thus made fresh durian, young Thai coconuts and palm nectar available to the public for the first time free of chemicals and treatments.

The quality of Genefit Nutrition's produce meets the highest standards. In addition to the absence chemicals in the growing process, all fruit is picked ripe to insure maximum flavor and nutrition and no post-harvest treatments are ever used as all products are flown-in overnight.  These are important distinctions when comparing the integrity of Genefit's produce to conventional quality.  While frozen, dehydrated, pasteurized and canned products may have acceptable flavor and may even be certified organic, many important nutritional values and healing qualities have not been retained.

Back in 2004, GeneFit Nutrition started by offering quality products retail first locally and later nationwide via mail-order. Since 2006, we are also selling wholesale to stores in the Southern California region and individuals nationwide.

It is our goal to make our quality foods available in additional states in the US and Canada in the near future. Please do not hesitate to contact us, if you are interested in helping us realize our goal.

Currently, Genefit Nutrition products are available in Southern California at selected Whole Foods, various other organic markets and raw restaurants in the Los Angeles area.  For your convenience and especially for all of you living outside California, please know that mail order is also available. The year 2007 is a very important and exciting year for us as we are finally able to offer not only untreated quality, but have now organic certification for our young Thai coconuts. Organic certification for our durian is planned for summer 2007.
