Since 2004, we are the only company in the US importing specialty varieties of durian such as Khan Yao, Puang Manee, Gradoom, Kop and even unnamed wild mountain durian.

The problem with conventional durian:
Just as young coconuts, durian has become a highly commercialized commodity in Thailand and it's production has been intensively pushed with a wealth of chemicals. Durian is most commonly shipped frozen by boat as meat only or entire frozen fruit. Fresh entire fruits are shipped via airfreight, however they are often treated at the border as the importation of the whole fruit requires additional treatments by USDA to eliminate the mili bug whenever found on the durian shell. Most fruits are picked unripe and therefore arrive still hard and tasteless in the customer's hands.

Our alternative:
• Our durian meat comes from ripe picked fruits harvested from small farms not using the traditional load of chemicals. Here also, the organic certification process is on the way and we expect to be certified by summer 2007 .
• The meat is taken out of the fruits allowing quality control already in Thailand
• The durian meat is shipped overnight under permanent refrigeration, never frozen,
• No treatment is required from the USDA side as bugs are in the shell of the fruit only
• The durian meat is sold/shipped within 48 hours upon arrival in states.

Varieties:
Besides the classic Morn Thong, we are offering a large variety of additional varieties depending on the seasons: Gradoom, Phuang Manee, Kop, Khan Yao, wild mountain durian and many more.
